Où trouver de l'aide ?

Recevoir une aide à temps peut faire la différence entre finir dans la purée et régler ce qui importe pour vous. Ce chapitre est fractionné pour vous donner une idée d'où et comment trouver le support qu'une distribution comme Sidux peut vous offrir.:

Les forums sidux

Les forums sidux offrent un endroit où poser vos questions et y recevoir des réponses. S'il vous plait avant d'y poser vos questions, cherchez si d'autres personnes ne les ont pas déjà posées, auquel cas vos réponses s'y trouvent déjà.

Les forums sidux sont en anglais et en allemand.

Le Wiki de Sidux

Le Wiki Sidux vous est ouvert à tous, utilisateurs de Sidux. Nous espérons que la documentation Sidux s'enrichira avec le temps pour devenir un outil de référence tout au long du développement du projet.

Nous espérons des contributions des utilisateurs de Linux de tous niveaux de compétences, étant donné que ce wiki a pour but d'aider tous les utilisateurs, quelque soit leur expérience. Les quesques minutes que vous offrirez au wiki pourraont aider d'autres personnes (et même vous-mêmes) en attente et recherche de solutions, dans des moments difficiles.

L'aide interactive directe par IRC (CHAT)

Joindre le canal #sidux

Il y a trois méthodes pour obtenir une aide en ligne :

Utiliser un client IRC comme xchat ou konversation en utilisant le serveur irc.oftc.net au port 6667.
Cliquer le lien irc.oftc.net au menu sidux
Cliquer sur Chat CGI:IRC Login au menu sidux

konversation

Lancez konversation et réglez le serveur sur

oftc.net 
port 6667

Au chapitre sur les outils internet, vous trouverez toutes les explications pour prendre en main un outil de chat comme xchat ou konversation, et vous connecter au Chat de sidux.

Activation du chat à partir du site de sidux

Rendez-vous sur le site de sidux et cliquez sur l'option irc.oftc.net du menu. Ceci lancera un client irc qui peut tout aussi bien être konversation, xchat ou gaim (pour en citer quelques uns, mais cela dépendra de votre configuration), qui vous connectera à #sidux.

Entrer par CGI:IRC

Rendez-vous sur le site de sidux et cliques sur "Chat" dans le meny. Ceci lancera CGI:IRC, une aplication serveur Web.

Saisissez le pseudonyme qui vous plaira dans le champs ad hoc et #sidux dans le choix du canal.

aynoS et les Factoids

aynoS c'est le bot du chan #sidux, qui interroge factoids pour fournir une courte information pointue et instantannée pour une large palette de thèmes et qui souvent est programmé pour répondre aux questions les plus fréquemment poosées sur le canal.

Pour obtenir l'intégralité des factoids, entrez dans votre client irc :

!factoids

et aynoS vous répondra aussitôt ceci :

Les factoides se téléchargent dans votre répertoire $HOME, et vous founiront si vous n'êtes pas toujours connectés à Internet, une aide additionnelle à celle fournie dans ce manuel. Pour les mettre à jour (ils sont actualisés quotidiennement), faites :

wget -Nc http://aynos.esmartguy.com/factoids-alpha.html

Pour consulter les factoïds dans votre $HOME, ouvrez simplement le fichier factoids-alpha.html dans un navigateur internet, puis mettez-le en signet pour accéder plus tard instantannément.

!paste

!paste sera votre ami sur le canal, si vous ne voulez pas vous faire expulser pour surcharge de contenus adressés. Aussi si vous êtes invité à utiliser !paste, pour fournir le constenu de votre console, tapez !paste dans votre ligne de chat et il vous sera répondu ceci :

Tout ce que vous aurez à faire sera de cliquer sur le lien qui vous conduira au site en question, où vous collerez ce qu'il vous aura été demandé, puis remonter en haut de page et cliquer sur send.

Ensuite la barre d'adresse va changer pour http://paste.debian.net/ pour intégrer un nombre du type de celui-ci http://paste.debian.net/19454 qui représente l'adresse de votre collage, qui peut elle, être entrée sur le chan.

Comportements sur IRC

Ne vous connectez jamais sur IRC en tant que 'root" ...vous y serez bienvenus comme simples utilisateurs mais jamais comme 'root' : si vous êtes difficulté, parlez-en tout de suite. D'autres conseils vous sont apportés sur les comportements et commandes sur IRC au chapitre outils internet de ce manuel.

Accéder au canal irc #sidux en mode texte et/ou init 3

En règle générale vous vous trouvez en mode texte/init 3 lorsque que vous sous apprêtez à mettre-à-niveau votre distribution par dist-upgrade (ou bien quelque chose de très problématique est survenu à votre système).

Un bon outil à avoir en mode texte est gpm. Il va vous permettre d'utiliser votre souris pour copier et coller entre différents terminaux/consoles.

Pour installer gpm :

gpm -t imps2 -m /dev/input/mice

assurez-vous que /etc/gpm.conf existe

/etc/init.d/gpm restart

À présent que vous pouvez utiliser votre souris en mode texte (tty), assurez-vous que WeeChat soit installé, en allant voir au 'Kmenu > Debian > Net'. Si ce n'est pas le cas, alors faites :

#apt-get install weechat-curses

En mode init 3 vous pouvez basculer d'un terminal à un autre en utilisant :

# CTRL-ALT-F2
$ siduxbox login:  <nomdutilisateur> (ne pas utiliser root)
puis entrez
$ weechat-curses

alors connectez-vous à irc.oftc.net sur le port 6667. et une fois connecté, changez votre pseudo :

/nick choix_de_pseudo

pour rejoindre le canal sidux:

/join #sidux

Pour vous connecter à un autre serveur:

/server server.name

Dans la barre inférieure, vous voyez des numéros d'activer si des canaux sont actif ; pour changer de canal faites ALT-1 ALT-2 ALT-3 ALT-4, etc.

Pour quitter

/exit

Si vous êtes entrain de faire un dist-upgrade, et par exemple pour suivre sa profession :

pour revenir au dist-upgrade 
$ CTRL-ALT-F1 
pour retourner sur 
# CTRL-ALT-F2

Il est sage de vous entrainer à utiliser WeeChat dans un terminal avant de vous retouver dans un cas d'urgence, si jamais ça devait se produire.

Naviguer sur Internet en mode texte et/ou init 3

wm3 vous permettra de naviguer sur internet dans une simple console ou en mode init 3

Vérifiez d'en disposer et sinon faites :

# apt-get update
# apt-get install w3m

Puis redevenez simple utilisateur (Control+D) et ouvrez un terminal :

$ w3m

Vous vous retrouvez basculé dans un écran noir avec des instructions en partie basse, ne paniquez pas, utilisez cette combinaison de touches :

SHIFT+U

Vous vous apercevrez que ceci s'ouvre dans votre système de fichiers local sous la forme Goto URL: file:///home/username/$ , utiliserez la touche basckspace pour effacez et y entre ensuite :

http://sidux.com

Vous pouvez dès lors naviguer sur le site de sidux ou n'importe que site dont vous entreriez l'URL.

En mode init 3:

# CTRL-ALT-F2
$ siduxbox login:  <nomdutilisateur> (root proscrit)
puis tapez
$ w3m sidux.com
Revenir à votre mise-à-niveau par exemple
$ CTRL-ALT-F1

Il est sage de vous entrainer à utiliser w3m dans un terminal avant de vous retouver dans un cas d'urgence, si jamais ça devait se produire.

Infobash

Infobash est un système de scripts d'information, indépendant de tout Client IRC particulier. Ce script système peut afficher toutes sortes de choses à propos de votre matériel et vos logiciels pour les personnes connectées sur le canal, qui peuvent les aider à vous porter assistance...ou juste pour que tombiez en pamoison devant vos caractériques machine et la version de votre noyau, quand vous le voulez, depuis une console.

Pour utiliser le script infobash depuis le Cd de Sidux, entrez dans le champ de messages du chat :

/exec infobash -v3
ou
/infobash -v3

Dans une console, entrez :

infobash -v3

Prennez intégralement connaissance du didactitiel d'utilisation d'infobash (en).

Dans votre machine locale

N'oubliez surtout pas que GNU/linux s'installe avec une pléthorre de documentation embarquée, et qui pourra certainement vous aider dans le détail, avant toute question posée vers l'extérieur

Si vous souhaitez plus d'information sur les programmes, commandes, etc. votre point de départ devrait être KDE Help Center (Centre d'Aide de KDE)[Menu K->Help]. Vous y trouvez aussi les fameuses manpages (pages de manuel) détaillant les options et fonctions des programmes et commandes GNU/Linux.

Le plus rapide pour charger les pages de manuel d'un programme ou d'une commande spécifique consiste à entrer

man:nom du programme
